History

Huppenkothen, based in Vorarlberg in Austria, is the specialist in the sale and service of mini and compact class construction machinery – in particular from the inventors of the compact excavator, the Japanese company Takeuchi – in 13 countries across Europe.

In the year it was established, the company began as a full-liner with 4 employees. From 1985 onwards, and under the former Managing Director Franz Wirth – who led the company up to March 2012, we decided to concentrate on the best: mini and compact class construction machinery that pays off. And so began the company’s unparalleled rise to market leader in this segment in many countries throughout Europe.

Huppenkothen has been led by the two managing directors, Wolfgang Rigo and Martin Hofer, since April 2012.
